# Quotes

## Quotes Component

The Quotes component contains the following information:

* **Symbol** - The symbol associated with the contract.
* **Last** - Last price at which the contract was traded.
* **Change** - The difference in price between yesterday's closing price and the current price.
* **% Chg** - The percent difference between yesterday's closing price and the current price.
* **Open** - The value of the contract when the session opens (trading day starts).
* **Bid** - The highest value at which buyers are willing to purchase the contract.
* **Ask** - The lowest price at which sellers are willing to sell the contract.
* **High** - The highest price at which a contract traded during the current session.
* **Low** - The lowest price at which a contract traded during the current session.
* **Volume** - The total contract volume for the current session.

To add Quotes to your layout, first add it as a [component](/components.md).

#### Adding a Symbol

By default, TopstepX provides Quotes for Nasdaq and the S\&P 500. To add additional symbols to your Quotes component, click the "Add Symbol" button at the bottom left of the component.
